Samford Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)

When I took on the role of SAAC C-Chair, I had a vision to create a stronger, more unified voice for our athletes, ensuring their needs were met both on and off the field. In this role, I oversee our social media presence, curating content to celebrate our teams' successes and foster engagement within the community. As the liaison between administration and athletes, I bridge communication to advocate for athlete concerns and initiatives. I also create custom meeting agendas and recap documents to ensure clear communication.
During the Fall 2024 semester, I organized the Student-Athlete Formal, which took place in December 7 at a local Birmingham venue. The event attracted 300 athletes (40% increase from previous formal) and raised $2,300 in donor contributions, which will be used to support the next formal event. I managed all aspects of the event and curated an action-shot slideshow that was showcased throughout the evening.

Brasfield & Gorrie ATL Hospital Division Pickleball Tournament

Using Adobe Photoshop, I designed B&G custom pickleball paddles for the front of the trophy, which was a large jar of kosher dills. In Adobe InDesign, I created a "nutrition facts" logo for the back of the trophy. For the bracket board, I used InDesign to create team name labels which were printed, laminated, and had a velcro piece attached to secure and move along the board.
